First Article Inspection Requirements

Suppliers manufacturing products to MSSI drawings or their own proprietary designs must conduct a First Article Inspection that meets all requirements of SAE specification AS9102. A readily available copy shall be maintained by supplier and a copy submitted to MSSI for approval.

All material certifications, process certifications, and test reports referenced on AS9102 Form 2 must be included as part of the AS9102 submission to MSSI and also maintained by supplier with the Inspection record.
